Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe came here towards the end of our night. The staff and manager were very friendly and buddy buddy... we left, only to realize when we were almost home that while they were chatting us up, one of them had unzipped my friend's backpack and stolen her purse that had her phone, credit cards and $3000MXN. We ran back (we were gone 20 minutes total), I put on my mom voice and reamed out the manager and the manager took us to the back. After a few minutes he came back, led us further into the back and there was my friend's purse, with everything except her cellphone battery and $2000MXN. The $3000MXN that she had were crisp, flat bills, but the $1000MXN that was in the purse were crumpled and dirty. When we got back to the front of the restaurant, we found out that some locals had seen it happen and had already called the police. The police, despite our protests, cuffed a staff worker we had never seen and loaded us up in their truck. We went with the locals to the police station to file a report and lo and behold, the manager biked all the way there to give us back my friend's cellphone battery. We were very vocal about the staff worker that they cuffed being innocent as we had never laid eyes on him and it was obvious the manager just used him as a scapegoat, and we wouldn't leave until they uncuffed him and let him go. So, she was out $2000MXN but she got everything back, including her cellphone and credit cards, which I know is a rarity. It sucks because they were so friendly and we had a great time there until we left. I know for a fact that they unzipped her backpack when we weren't looking because as we sat down I made her show me she had her purse, and I watched her zip it back up in her backpack (she was drunk so I was being extra watchful) and I paid for the meal. The quesadilla we had was so greasy I only had one bite of it.
If you want to take a break from the million and one pizza places in Tulum and try some real Mexican food, this is the place. I went here 2 times in 3 days. (Would've gone 3 times if I'd tried it out Day 1 . absolutely delicious al pastor. (The spit of red meat cooking at the entrance to the restaurant The fish and shrimp tacos and tostadas are almost rivals to those in Maui (that's a very high opinion salsa bar with 7 or 8 different salsas all delish! cheap prices 10 peso meat tacos, $1 each (Mind you these are authentic tacos very small, round white corn tortillas served open faced with a sprinkle of meat, onions, cilantro, salsa enough for 2 3 bites the waitress was rude, though. While I brushed it off as my imagination the first night, it was blatantly obvious the next when the manager was not there. (Turning her back on me while I was talking to her, taking an inordinate amount of time to bring my food that was ready when I was the only one there, pretending not to hear me so that I had to get up and walk only 6 feet to ask for another taco, or the bill. At that point, there were two other customers who kept looking at her, noticing as well. I thought it was strange, as I am polite, left a nice tip the night before even though it's not expected in Mexico and I speak very good Spanish. I just assume she doesn't like tourists. While the waitress was a little off putting, I would still go there AGAIN if I wasn't leaving this morning. The food is THAT good.
Food was amazing we shared a 3 course dinner starting with Cesar salad followed by pizza and pasta. Perfect portions for 3 people and it was delicious! Amazing service by Julio
