However, we were disappointed with the quality of the food, especially considering the high prices. The dishes seemed to be prepared in advance and served to us in less than 5 minutes. We do not recommend spending your money here.
Staff was great! Everyone is very friendly and the place was immaculate. Food is THE BEST New Mexican food around. Rellenos were amazing, the guacamole was delicious and the salsa had a great kick to it. The red and green chili are exactly what is made in New Mexico. The blue corn tortillas in the enchiladas are so delicious. The carne adovada was heavenly, almost like my Grandma used to make! Was so great to have authentic posole..and their sopapillas were divine. I Highly recommend this place. I live 2 hours away, but Will be going back every chance I get. LOVE IT!!!
Best restaurant I've been to in Tulsa. Absolutely amazing. Ambience, service, food all 5 stars. Clara the bartender is very good at her job. Highly recommend
When this place first opened I loved it! However, they have changed some ingredients as a way to possibly cut costs? and it shows. I might return but for the margaritas only. The thing I used to like most about this place was the salsa and queso. The salsa is still great and spicy! However the queso is so runny now. Like water and it tastes about the same. Like water hahaha
If you like the flavors and ambiance of the great southwest then you are going to love La Tertulia. The interior of the restaurant is like most of the architecture you will find in Santa Fe with adobe Pueblo stuccoed walls, copper covered tables and Indian artifacts and blankets throughout the restaurant. The service was outstanding. We never wanted for anything, he was knowledgeable of the menu, and friendly. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was spicy but flavorful and not your typical Mexican restaurant style salsa and the chips were fresh and crisp. I had an out of this world blueberry margarita with mint. It was bursting with blueberry flavor and a minty refreshing finish. For my entree I couldn’t decide on just one thing so I went with the combination plate. I picked the carne asada soft taco. It was made with a homemade corn tortilla (which you don’t get very often) and tender steak. I had them cover my tamale and enchilada christmas style which in southwestern terms means you want both green and red chile sauces. Both sauces are definitely homemade and taste like nothing else you can get in this part of the country and the cheese, the cheese, a white, stretchy, salty Mexican mozzarella style. Yummy. The carne adovada is pork stewed in a sauce of ground dried chiles and again homemade and amazing tasting. My plate was finished with Spanish rice, pinto beans and posole. You can tell these were not just plate fillers all of them had great flavor. So if you want to taste the flavors of New Mexico save yourself the 600 mile trip and try La Tertulia you will not be disappointed.
