Captain Jack's Stronghold - Tulelake

We ordered the prime rib dip, but there was quite a bit of fat on the meat. Additionally, the iced tea had some sediment floating in it.

I stopped by early on a Saturday morning while traveling through the area. There’s a spacious parking lot suitable for trucks and RVs. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the food was, and the service was excellent too—they kept my large coffee mug filled. The prices were also reasonable. I would definitely make this a regular stop if I travel this route again.

Friendly staff and delicious food. The availability of truck parking is a great bonus since I’m a truck driver.

Cozy little restaurant right off the highway. Came to find out that the restaurant been around for over 50 years! The previous owner passed, but the new owners are carrying over their legacy. The chicken sandwich was delicious with homemade buns, mayo, and fries! With the restaurant being in the middle of nowhere, they really know how to serve the passerbys right with some great food!!

Great breakfast there and good service. Also specially Chef decided to cook breakfast for us instead of lunch. Big thanks We will come back again, if we're heading to Lake Tahoe
