Tohono Chul Gardens, Galleries, And Bistro

Great place to see and learn about lizards, birds, and flowering desert plants.

Wonderful way to spend the morning! Went here with my mom and really enjoyed wandering around all the different areas. My favorite, though, was the Geology Wall!!! But I'm a geologist :D). They did an amazing job with that feature, and I'm excited to go back with my wife to geek out more. After wandering around mom and I had an amazing lunch at the bistro and then some fun shopping for plants and stuff. Can't wait to go back.

Tohono Chul Park, and Bistro, is a gem of the desert. Update August 10, 2024. The food now served at Tohono Chul, unlike in the past, is acceptable, mostly, but some of it is awful. Take the churros we bought the last two times we were there (last December 23 and Aug 24). Awful, cold, hard and tasteless. Really if it is too expensive to serve good, wholesome food, TC should serve none at all, charge admission and let people bring their own. ——————— We have had uniformly excellent experiences, whether with food, drink or events. Today’s “Chiles, Chocolate and Day of the Dead” annual event is no exception. If you’ve never been to Tohono Chul ... you definitely need to get there either TODAY or TOMORROW for a tasty introduction!

Amazing place to visit. The gardens were beautiful and the bistro excellent. Don’t miss this gem when in Tucson
