Lucky Wishbone - Tucson

I have been a fan of LWB for years, but like many restaurants, the prices have become quite steep. Expect to spend $33-$45 for a family of 3-4. Last time, the chicken and bread were a bit greasy, but I may give it another try in the future. It's a Tucson tradition!

The restaurant has consistently delivered a positive experience over the years. I have never had a bad experience with ordering or eating here. The food is consistently good and has maintained its delicious taste.

The two young women at the front were quick to take orders but promptly ignored those waiting for their food in order to serve three men who had just walked in. The order sat on the pickup table for 15-20 minutes while the young women attended to the men. When I finally received my order and arrived home (40 miles away), I discovered that it was incorrect. Despite my receipt showing the correct items, I received steak fingers and a 6-piece fried chicken instead of the two family feasts, steak fingers, and chicken fingers that I had ordered. Not only was my order wrong, but it was also priced incorrectly. The service and value at this establishment were disappointing. Perhaps it is just this specific location. If the young lady who seemed to be the manager was prioritizing the men over other customers, as the owner, I would consider finding a new manager.

As a native Tucsonan, I have been eating at Lucky Wishbone since they were located across the street from the Rodeo Grounds on south 6th avenue. Lately I've noticed that their portions have been smaller without a menu change. Their Pop steak fingers andpop shrimp meals are now only 8 pieces, however, their online menu reads 10 pieces for each pop meal. When I confronted themanager, she argued that the pop meals are now only 8 pieces and the online menu is incorrect. Lucky Wishbone, please updateyour online menu, so that there is no confusion. The funny thing about my visit is that there was a couple in front of mecounting the number of pieces in each box. I thought that was hilarious, but now I understand.

I indulge in my annual guilty pleasure at this restaurant! Everything is fried and breaded, well, almost everything. But the shrimp and chicken fingers are the best I've ever had.
