Char Thai - Tucson

Char's is our favorite Thai restaurant in Tucson. Nearly all vegetarian options can be converted to vegan. For non-vegan items, extra vegetables or tofu can often be substituted to make them vegan. The staff is attentive and will ensure that vegans receive a delicious and filling meal. While they may not have a vast selection, the offerings are more than enough to satisfy any Thai food craving.

We ordered a dish from the vegetarian part of the menu and announced that we were vegan, but unfortunately we found a piece of huh in our meal. very disappointing. that would have been good.

They not only have a separate vegetarian section on their menu, but they can get each of their specialties with tofu and the waiting staff is knowledgeable about which items can be made vegan.

This restaurant is absolutely delicious! I couldn't stop talking about it for days. I ordered takeout and was treated so kindly by the staff. The pad thai was the best I've ever had, the fresh spring rolls were delicious, and the broth with tofu was deeply flavorful. The only downside is that they have limited hours, so I can't get lunch on the weekends. However, it's definitely worth the wait to have a meal there.

I would give Char's 6 stars if I could. Since moving back to this area in 2019, I have been searching for a great Thai restaurant and have recommended this place to many. The food is exceptional, reasonably priced, and the portions are perfect for the price. It doesn't stop there - the staff are extremely friendly and take great care of not only your order, but also your dining experience; this aspect surprised me. Char's will be my go-to spot for Thai food, they have convinced me with their exceptional offerings.
