Mr. Chen's Chinese - Trussville

It suddenly closed. There was no announcement and the customers came to eat, but the doors were locked during regular hours. It was very disappointing. They weren't overrun with business, but customers were always there when I left.

I don't like being an expert in traditional Chinese food, but I'm from General Tso. This place has one of the best versions. People should have passed a writing test before they can check this place and give 1

The thing to think about Mr. Chens is authenticity. If you are interested in Chinese for General Tso's Chicken or Beef with Broccoli, Mr. Chen may not be so spectacular for you. Their excellence is shown in the obscure, authentic and exotic dishes they offer. Although somewhat more limited than the Hoover site, this restaurant offers many authentic dishes, soups and hotpots. Like pork with black bean sauce, eggplants with pork and basil hot pot or basil squid. Be a little adventurous and try something else than Sesame Chicken!

Beautiful service and very fresh food! So excited to have a great Chinese food nearby where we live! And the egg drop soup was the bomb! We have both the orange chicken and the general Tso chicken that were both on the point!

The service is so attentive it's almost annoying. There are many choices on the menu, some i haven't seen on other asian menus like lamb, two kinds of ribs.... The portions were on the large size and very tasty. I have eaten there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner.
