La Calle Tacos Snacks - Trussville

This restaurant was quite disappointing. The food was subpar at best. The queso had a canned taste and seemed to have been left out for far too long—how could they serve cold queso? My chicken quesadilla was mostly filled with vegetables, and the chicken was incredibly rubbery. To top it off, there was a noticeable pool of grease underneath it. This place might be suitable if you have no sense of taste. Additionally, the cashier sneezed over the bar multiple times, which is certainly concerning.

I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant since it opened and have developed a friendship with the owner. I've witnessed her struggles and successes over the years. The food here is incredible, and I've experienced very few issues during my five years of dining here. Whenever there was a problem, I addressed it politely with either my server or the owner, and they were always gracious in resolving it. Prices fluctuate, and staff turnover is normal in the restaurant industry. However, one thing remains constant at La Calle: their food is fresh and prepared with love for their customers.

The staff were friendly, but unfortunately, the food didn't meet expectations. I ordered the fajita steak with rice and refried beans, and the rice and drink were the only decent parts of the meal. Unfortunately, the steak was disappointing and did not resemble the carne asada described by the staff. Almost every piece had chunks of fat, and all of it was quite tough to chew. Additionally, the refried beans had an unusual sweet taste. Overall, it wasn't worth the money spent, and I won't be returning.

Great late night eats!!We had 4 street tacos (pork, steak and pork/ sausage were SO good!! . We also ate pork and chicken enchiladas and tried all 4 hot sauces !Seth Rogen is the manager, I swear it’s him!!Food: 5/5

Nice food, great service. Wonderful little place. Impressive dessert menu. Going back next time just for desserts.Vegetarian options: I didn't see them serve any vegetarians. Those things are really hard to clean and not much meat on them.
