I had the chicken parm, which was just so so- they didn't tenderize the breast prior to breading and frying. Frying. Breading didn't stick properly to the breast. My wife had the veal and it was pretty darn good.
The service was very good. I enjoyed the old Italian restaurant feel, but the food was not worth the price. The Chicken Marsala was ok, but the veggie side dishes seemed to have been just scooped out of a can and microwaved. 1 bite of each was more than enough. We also tried Ravioli with an order of meatballs. The meatballs were large, but lacked flavor. The salad was fresh, but a small side salad was requested and we were told that they don 't do that, so it ended up being quite expensive, since only 1 of us was having salad. We didn 't think to ask for 2 plates to share it.
Some of the best Italian food in the area. My daughter and I had calamari and fried oyster appetizers and the Pasta La Verdile dinner. It was all very good. I love that they don't salt up the food. Carrot cake, a huge slice, and tiramusu to go. They have a very tasty espresso martini, too.
Our 2 meals were absolutely amazing. We had the lasagna and the chicken scarpariello. We also had the chocolate lava cake. We will definitely go back there again when we travel down that way. 5 star all the way!!!
The waitress was extremely friendly. I had high expectations due to all the positive things I had heard about the restaurant, and maybe they were a bit too high. However, the carrot cake was absolutely incredible! It was much larger than I had anticipated.
