Smiths' Boathouse - Troy

We had a nice evening at the Smith Boathouse. I have beef tips and my husband has Walleye. His Walleye burst with taste. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended! Service was excellent! Ready with a delicious dessert with this review.

We had a pleasant meal, everything tasted super, the service was great. I was disappointed by the size of my meal, two of the people with us I ordered fish and chips. My meal of the Admiral-Platter, which is fish and chips plus white shrimps and sea scales. Of fish and chips added to the admiral platter $20 to the meal, again the food was great, but I don't think the additional items are worth adding $20 to the bill. Plus $12 more for a salad! I will return in the future, but I will not order the same meal as you see from my picture, it seems more fries (chips) then fish.

Solid restaurant for steaks and seafood. The environment is comfortable, although starting to show it age. Maturity is not bad when it shows success. The service is amazing. Excellent property and personnel. They are treated like family. The food is of the highest quality and is served with love. Go to the Ceasar Salad. The Ceasar is a table side. This Ceasar is just one of the best you'll ever have. Even if you are not a fan of a Ceasar Salad, this is a Ceasar you need to try. This is a world class Ceasar! Eeyore was even happy after he gave this salad a try. The Clam Chowder is beautifully made, tasteful with a good consistency. The Chowder, while the average when in Boston or Maine, is the best Chowder you can find in the larger dayton range. Steaks are perfect. Order Steaks here with confidence. This boathouse can easily be mistaken for the farmhouse. As you expect, seafood is fresh and masterfully prepared. Some seafood selections are straight ahead while other seafood dinner cooking levels provide complexity (possibly too complex in some cases). Total. This place will not disappoint. You will be somewhere between wow'd by your experience or simply satisfied by your experience. Give it a try to see where you stand and good chance, this will be part of your regular restaurant rotation.

Such a great time every year we come here for our birthday and have never been disappointed! Abby was such a fun server to have, she cracked little jokes and was so understanding and just everything all around in line with what we wanted! Always fun! Thanks again for such a great environment!

A small get together with co-workers was perfect! The staff was kind, the owner stopped to say hello, and good& drinks were delicious! We will be going back!
