Sakura Japanese Steakhouse Sushi - Troy

The food and service were excellent. Despite being very busy, they even temporarily halted a cook to accommodate us, yet everything still seemed well-managed. I would definitely return. The sashimi was outstanding!

Once we were seated, everything was quite standard. They offer a diverse menu with good options; the shrimp was excellent, but the salmon was disappointing. It's possible that salmon isn't ideal for hibachi cooking, so I wouldn't recommend ordering it. Unfortunately, the shrimp appetizer listed as part of the meal was not served, and I chose not to mention it since I felt quite full by then. Those of us who ordered white rice had to request it from the waiter instead of receiving it automatically with our meal. The inconsistency in service was also disappointing. On a positive note, the sushi was delicious, although they did not adhere to the menu description—one of the rolls was supposed to include scallions, but it came without them, and there was no comment or explanation regarding the omission. In conclusion, I would consider giving this place another try but will ensure to clarify all aspects of our order. I’ve also learned that reservation times might be more of a suggestion, so I would recommend booking a table 15-30 minutes earlier than the desired dining time.

The restaurant had technical problems with open table or its computer. they would not honor our reservations that we had made on an open table. they had no other suggestions to help us. the 2 hostesses were young and did not manage the situation well. we have been very disappointed.

We had an early dinner at Silvester with the family and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was very entertaining. Our chef was great at interacting with both the adults and the children, and the food was incredible. Everything from the sushi bar to the hibachi was fantastic!

The food and service were fantastic. Despite being quite busy and dealing with a chef quitting just before we arrived, they managed everything remarkably well. I would definitely go back. The sashimi was outstanding.
