Mc Gowan's Family - Trout Lake

The rooms are quite basic, featuring simple bedding, a writing desk, a lawn area, two twin beds, a fan, and a bathroom with a shower. They don't offer coffee makers, microwaves, or refrigerators, but some rooms do have a kitchenette you can use for an extra fee. I suspect these rooms are primarily rented out in the winter for snowmobile enthusiasts, as there's a snowmobile path directly across the road. While the amenities may be minimal, at $69 per night, I feel it's worth every penny.

The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and it was exactly what our family needed after a long day of traveling. Location rating: 5/5.

My husband and I discovered this restaurant while traveling through the Upper Peninsula, and we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely salad bar and appealing menu. The food was quite good, too.
