Le Buck - Trois-Rivières

I was hoping for a delicious meal considering the price, but unfortunately, I was let down. I ordered a burger, which was one of the only dishes that seemed like a full meal compared to the others that arrived with very little food. The salad was overly dressed, the fries were clearly frozen, and the burger tasted like flavorless meatloaf. My colleague's side bread was thick toast. The beer was the highlight of the meal. The service was adequate, but overall, the value for the price was disappointing.

The restaurant's charming and rustic decor adds to the overall ambiance, as the establishment dates back to the 1700s. The interior is cozy and inviting, with a beautiful patio as well. I was so impressed with the food here. We stopped inTrois-Rivières for a quick detour on our way to Quebec city to refuel and get snacks and decided we would actually be better off having dinner. We were by the water and wandered by Le Buck and saw the reviews were quite interesting and decided to see if they had any space. They had space inside, but the patio was completely full so be sure to make a reservation if you'd like to sit there. It's lovely. We had the duck, the bison, and the blueberry waffle for desert. The duck and the bison were both perfectly cooked and tender. I had a few experiences in Quebec where the duck was gamey but this was seriously perfectly rendered fat and well cooked good quality duck. The sauces and accompanying vegetables were also great and made we wish we had sampled the appetizers too. The waffle was a light not too sweet dessert, and while I wished it was hot, it was still a good little finish. Overall a pleasing and impressive restaurant with good quality food.

Delicious food and great service. The striploin and potatoes were amazing. The back patio has a great atmosphere. Would def come back again.

This restaurant is stunning, cozy, and well-liked, with an amazing menu. I highly recommend it. It appeared to be the place to be in Trois Rivières. We didn't have a reservation on a Friday night and were fortunate to get a table.
