A small place where all locals know you get there for the poutine. The Cantine offers a variety of poutine, in flavors and size, along with other fast food delights: hamburgers, hot dog... There is also a Menu du jour. You can either eat there in this almost retro feel or take it with you!

This poutine is as good as it gets! Robust thick cut but crispy fries that stand up to the awesome meaty gravy, plenty of cheese curds! Good coffee! Very cool layout! Highly recommend for everyone - foodie or not! Get the poutine!!

Definitly one of the best poutine i ever tasted! Great french fries, sauce and the kwick kwick grain cheese. Awesome stuff! Really quick service too within 10 mins. A must for Poutine lovers!

We came here for lunch with our son who we just picked up from his host home where he stayed for the six week immerson course. While we knew there was a formagerie in town, the fries here and the gravy make this the best...place in town for poutine, as the curds are the ones freshly made from the formagerie just minutes away. The fries were perfect, the right thickness to hold the curds and gravy. The gravy had a nice rich flavour and the curds were plentiful with various degrees of melting-perfect! The diner u-shaped seating is fun and the waitress comes to you, putting out a paper placemat with events and places in Trois Pistoles. The service was fast and friendly and the place was packed, yet clean as a whistle. Our waitress hustled. They had the incorrect size for one poutine, however rectified that by bringing out an extra order of that size. We did happily eat it and made sure the tip included the extra cost, as they gave the last poutine to us for free. This place is a must to eat at!
