Antica Ghiacciaretta - TRIESTE

Heavy rain and wind so needed a restaurant near our hotel (Savoia). Chose Antica because we love fresh grilled fish and this place delivered! Had a large 2 kilo sea bass grilled and fileted tableside along with a huge insalata mixta which more than satisfied our hunger. A bottle of regional vino blanco hit the sweet spot as well! Definitely recommend but make a reservation as the place is popular and quite busy.

Our mouth had an explosion of senses, the aromas and taste of the food is simply exquisite! Their Fish Tapas is a MUST! Their fish of the day I assure you, will not be a miss. Paired with a wonderful bottle of Malvazija Istarska… what an amazing combination for date night.

I ordered a risotto and was guaranteed that it was free of gluten and lactose. Half-way through the meal I got incredible stomach ache and got terribly sick. Despite telling the staff they continued to insist that the food was ok. Had to pay for the meal and was extremely sick for over a week. I would never risk going there again as I have celiac disease which is a very serious disease and each intoxication is damaging the intestines. Very dissapointed.

Very much enjoyed this restaurant. Food choices were excellent the presentation,preparation, device superb. The wine selection was excellent I have to admit I fell in love with my server. The entire Staff just delightful. The location was superb. I would go back without any hesitation

This pleasant restaurant serves typical cuisine, between tradition and innovation. very good are fish appetizers. the environment is very pleasant, very nice and cozy, almost familiar, with chairs and wooden tables, scattered and colorful glasses, like the walls. the location is central, not far from the square unit, between the banks and the city.
