De winkel is a hidden gem. The food can be considered really good and very tasty. There is a nice ambience and the service is cool and greay. We went here for the first night, but went back every day.

There was only one waiter/barman who worked there on a Friday night. He was rude to me and my friends, and after a while refused to serve us food just because he was too busy and overworked. Instead of trying to understand his situation we had, he was aggressive with us. Such a shame and I will never visit this bar again.

Great spot to mingle with local Trier'ers! The crowd tends towards the genre, drinks and eats are reasonable priced. It has a nice terrace and great music. It tends to be full on Fri, Sat, and Holidays. Located on the outskirts of the city...center, but certainly walking distance from city parking garages.
