Cafe Und Konditoei Raab - Trier

This is by far my favorite bakery in all of Rhineland Pfalz. Incredible selection of cakes made daily . If you come early enough you can even look through the windows in the back and watch them make all these masterpieces! Nice cozy little area...to sit and have a slice with a fresh cup of coffee. Conveniently located just outside the Fußgänger zone and right down the street from the Karl Marx museum.

I was waiting for the Karl Marx House( its near by) to open and was lured inside by the beautiful pastries and breads.I settled for a pack of Christmas Stollen. After purchasing them I noticed they had sit down wait service in the rear,...so I decided to order a coffee and enjoy my Stollen. There was a customer across from me who was eating an inviting dish of Ice cream, It looked so good I couldn't resist temptation , I called the waitress back and ordered the same. It was a decent scoops) of creamy vanilla with luscious German Whipped Cream on top.The Ice cream was top notch, the whipped cream tasted home made and the Java was good and came in a little pot. I thought it was a little pricey for Germany however. The Coffee was Euro double what I pay in the US in my local cafe. The Ice Cream was a hefty I had already paid the counter for my Stollen. It wasn't nearly as Good as my hotel put out for breakfast. I guess my expectations were high as everything else looked so good.

The coffees and baguettes were delicious and very reasonably priced. The toilette facilities were well maintained. The chocolate ladies shoes on display for purchase were amazing (although we did not purchase any of them). The service was prompt and courteous even for jades to go....Highly recommended.

Wide variety of cakes, a konditorei is they are meant to be. Nice coffee, hot chocolate and friendly service! Close to Carl Marx birth house.

Das Café Raab ist eines der wenigen Traditionscafés in Trier.Hohe Qualität der angebotenen Speisen ( es gibt auch warme Gerichte zu Mittag ), hervorragende Torten, Kuchen und Pralinen. Das alles seit vielen Jahrzehnten. Freundliches und sehr aufmerksames Personal machen die Einkehr dort zum reinen Vergnügen.
