Hotel de la Forclaz Restaurant

We traveled back from chamonix, saw the view of col de la forclaz and asked us if we could stop for coffee. we were greeted with a warm smile of jhon and offered two choices of cakes either apfelkuchen or one with. the apple cake was delicious and guaranteed a second slice.

The place lies on a very busy road, no prospect here, unpleasant recipeist, limited eating, overall unpleasant and very expensive. we were accused and they will not reimburse us.

The food was simple but good and interesting. I just regret the over crowded dining room. We could barely hear each other at the table ! The staff was a bit in a rush and didn't have much time for anyone. I appreciated the vegetarian...menus.

We stopped for lunch before continuing our TMB walk and were not expecting much in this touristy location. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Four stars only because service was a bit slow and haphazard.

La situation du restaurant peut faire croire à un attrape touriste, mais il n'en est rien!Même si les prix sont relativement élevés pour les français (nous sommes en Suisse, ne l'oublions pas), les plats sont délicieux et servis en très bonne quantité. Service excellent: la serveuse était très agréable et avenante. Chose rare!Nous recommandons sans hésitation.
