Mama D Soul Food 2 - Trenton

We visited this restaurant before heading to a Monster Jam show. Initially, I was hesitant because it was empty, but I decided to give it a shot. Wow! The food is fantastic. We ordered the BBQ wings, which come with three sides and cornbread, and everything was amazing. One of the sides is rice and beans, and the other two are customizable. We chose the mashed sweet potatoes and mac and cheese, both of which were served in generous portions. They also have desserts; we tried the peach cobbler, which was delicious. They offer cakes and banana pudding as well.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and I’m really glad we decided to stop by. I ordered a little bit of everything to get a good taste of the menu. The meatloaf was absolutely fantastic—definitely my favorite part of the meal! The ribs were quite good too. The salmon was tasty, although a bit on the smaller side. Overall, the fish was impressive, and I really enjoyed it. The side dishes were served in massive portions, and we made sure to finish them all. The cornbread was also quite enjoyable. I loved the atmosphere and will definitely be returning. By the way, all our dinners were quite large, which might explain why the sides were so generous—so you'll just have to see for yourselves, haha!

I have to say that my meal was quite disappointing. The staff members were friendly, but that’s about the only positive aspect. I paid $56 for beef stew, macaroni and cheese, and greens. Unfortunately, the macaroni and cheese was burnt! In the beef stew, I found two large bones with hardly any meat and way too much rice. The cake was really dry, probably because it had been in the fridge for too long. I also ordered oxtails, greens, and macaroni and cheese for my sister. She mentioned that her banana pudding looked like it had been sitting out for days! Overall, I can’t understand why the meal was so expensive when it was not even good. I was very disappointed!

My experience was GREAT the customer service was awesome, pleasant, warn and inviting. My meal was delicious, perfectly seasoned and affordable pricing.

First time there. Very pleasant, didn?t know what to expect. Staff was very friendly, complimented me on my fragrance. Had a great conversation. When I arrived home and began to eat my jerk chicken Mac and cheese green beans and rice, I was pleased to know it tasted as good as I make it. I?ll be returning definitely
