I have fond memories of Henry's Deli from when I was just five years old in 1983. It's always been one of the most beloved and respected places in my neighborhood, and I’m thrilled to see that they’re still going strong today.
The restaurant was dirty, and the owner was rude. The staff didn't wear gloves or masks, and the meat was not cut to the correct weight.
Polish deli with great food! Don 't worry if you don 't speak Polish as there is always someone who speaks English as well. There are ready-made breakfast sandwiches but I suggest asking for a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll, eggs done light. It 's worth the wait and your mouth will thank you! Lunch has pierogie, breaded fish, keilbasa and other rotating options. There 's lots of strange and interesting Polish and European candy and drinks to capture your interest while waiting for your food to be prepared. When you leave be sure to say Jen coo etchi which is phonetic for thank you in Polish. ??
Trying to keep up with Gerald and his travels! I had the kielbasa and egg sandwich. It was great. The flavor of the kielbasa was on point and the perfect snap as I bit into it. Roll was soft and I had the double egg on it. Great great great.
