Blue Danube - Trenton

FANTASTIC!!!! I had the culinary surprise of recent memory. WE met a couple of friends there just by chance. Picked an area half way. Trenton?? OK why not, the menu looked interesting. The food was authentic. Perfectly prepared. Veal I could cut with my fork. Spaetzle that had to have been made today. EVERYTHING was prepared today. It was a Wednesday so it was a slow night. The owner was the head chef and his wife was the wait staff. Great food, a good selection of eastern European and Germanic beers. The restaurant has been here over 30 years. Go treat yourself. ITS THE REAL DEAL

Amazing food. Had potatoes pancakes shared them as an appetizer they were perfect starchy and hearty. Then I had the kielbasa and perogies for an entree, kielbasa was salty but nice and the perogies where good too it was more than I could eat ended up bringing home a little less than half the entree. Altogether everything was pretty cheap but I wouldn't be afraid to grab a more expensive main the next time I go and I don't doubt that will happen soon.

The sauerbraten guylas/goulash were so amazing. The staff is friendly knows their cuisine. Definitely coming back, especially with winter on the way Edit: forgot to tell you guys... Paprika shakers on the tables!

We had the most amazing food experience here. Started off with the pierogis that were so fresh and the grilled onions were perfect. The cream of mushroom soup was hands down best soup I?ve ever had. The pork schnitzel came out smothered in gravy yet so crispy and juicy with homemade egg noodles and sauerbraten was perfect. Everything had such deep flavors and truly was homemade and fresh. We ended with there house made crepes which was the perfect cap to an amazing meal. Overall 10/10 experience and Will be back

Not often I give 5 stars across the board but tonight this is well deserved. The choice and quality of food was excellent, we all tried something different from the menu and no one was disappointed, it was all delicious. The portion sizes were very generous too, everyone was full leaving the restaurant. Margaret, one of the owners was so friendly and helpful, she couldn't do enough for us all. Thank you Margaret, you made it a great night and it was lovely to meet you. We will definitely be back.
