Am Stifstor - Treis-Karden

We had a lovely meal here and would highly recommend it. The service was exceptional. The decor is charming and it is conveniently located. It was the restaurant recommended by our Gasthaus proprietors at Alte Weinstrube

Excellent food, large menu, food freshly made to order. Typical German restaurant which has kept its beautiful old decor. Well worth a visit. Plenty parking and not necessary to pre-book.

We ate at Am Stifstor twice this last weekend. There are not many restaurants in Treis-Karden where we were and the restaurant in our hotel was closed. The first night we ate out on the little terrace which is a cool spot. The second time we at inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals both nights and the service was good too. I would recommed Am Stifstor.

During our holiday in treis, cardiacs have eaten more often in the restaurant of the hotel. it was close to our apartment, we only had to walk a few steps. at the first visit we were kindly greeted and immediately received the cards: a menu and a wine card. the weeping card that we have kept on the table all the time, we could choose the different weeping that we want to try in rest. there were various open weeping offered. the white wines come from the map, rosé and red wine from the ahr. the same applies to the bottled wines. a selection of ghosts was offered, at the place burned. the prices were moderate, as expected at a weeping place. we have tried some of the weeping card and done each time. German kitchen was offered at dinner. suppen, appetizer, salad, meat and fish dishes. we tried various dishes, eating was always delicious. especially the secret of the donations I found delicious. it was black filet included, more will not be betrayed. the prices were rather average, for which the environment was worth seeing. a beautiful winery with wrought iron vines, winetestines and colorful glass windows, really inviting. only the lighting we found something too bright. with beautiful weather you can sit on the terrace in front of the entrance, in a small, quiet street. the personal was friendly and accommodating. we can't judge the rooms because we didn't live here. we like to eat here during our holiday and can recommend a visit to the restaurant.
