Whistle Stop At The American Cafe

Great, dog-friendly place (top floor terrace). My fur child and I shared the grill chicken with Cheddar potatoes and green beans and it was extremely good. Live music last night was also beautiful. We'll be back a lot!

I can’t say enough good things about Vickie and the wonderful experience we always have at the Whistle Stop. Tonight, we visited with our 2-year-old after taking the Polar Express. Vickie greeted everyone warmly and guided us up to the rooftop for hot cocoa and cookies by the fire with Santa. After that, we took the train down to explore the city before dinner. As always, the food was delicious, and our little boy, Gatlin, had a great time watching the train inside while enjoying his special Christmas tea that came with his meal. The Whistle Stop has always been one of our favorite places, but tonight’s experience made it even more special. We hope to return every Christmas! What a magical and unforgettable holiday evening we had! Thank you once again for the fantastic hospitality!

I don't typically write reviews, but I have to share about Whistle Stop because it's one of our favorite spots. My two boys absolutely adore this place! It's very family-friendly, yet the food quality sets it apart from many other establishments that don't manage to achieve both. We've visited several times, and each experience has been great—no complaints whatsoever about the food, and the service has always been excellent. Thank you, Whistle Stop!

We had lunch and dinner three times last night, and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was fantastic as well. However, I would recommend making a reservation next time to avoid waiting.

2 waitress out and only 2 working. The service was out standing and the food was amazing!!! We will gladly drive from Charleston for this food again!!!
