Great dinner. The breakfast was delicious. The wife had the Southern Benedict and I had eggs and bacon. Coffee was very good. I will definitely go back.

Great lunch spot! Food is great!This is one of those places that I walked into not expecting much from.When I got my food I was seriously impressed. Yes this is a meat three restaurant, with a lot of other things on the menu, however, the quality of food and flavors is unmatched from any other meat and three I've been to in my life. Great stuff!My recommendations are:Flounder with fried green tomatoes and drover caviar.Chicken sandwich is really goodTomato pie is something you need to try.Fried Green tomato BLT.I haven't found any other things that I'm disappointed with on the menu, however, these were my favorites.I've been back countless times since that initial time and it's been good every time. One of my favorite places.

As a full time traveler, I usually go to restaurants only once, but I had to come here twice. The food is so good. I had the shrimps and grits.

Easily my favorite local small eatery in the Carolinas. If you can find it and it 's open, it 's worth it every time. The staff is friendly and very helpful, but for those of us with an independent streak there 's a coffee and water counter where you can get your own refills, a feature I appreciate beyond words. I have yet to try every dish on offer, because every dish I HAVE tried has been so good I 've gotten it again the very next time. These include the shrimp and grits, the chicken and waffles, the shrimp and sausage omelette, the biscuit and gravy, and the tomato pie, among others. All of those items are top notch, you can 't go wrong whatever you choose. The prices are more than fair for the quality of the food you 're going to receive. The place gets a little busy at time, as such excellent places tend to do, but the interior design is very efficient, and I 've never had a problem finding a place to sit. If you 're searching for that spot, you 've found it. It 's the Hungry Drover. Try it at least once, and you 're likely to become a regular. See you there!
