Schnitzlbaumer - Traunstein

The interior of this brewery/restaurant is truly stunning. what a wonderful space. the terrace back is also a beautiful place to take an evening meal in summer. in the city with a business colleague. had a flight from beer. was very surprised. that I couldn't get my own beer for the flight, but had to take their preselected flight....what the waiter didn't explain to me, lol, but I think I was possessed what was desired. had a bark soup with the bark bone....a beautiful, cheerful brot, that was very delicious. as an asparagus season, I have ordered a small, white, spargel with butter sauce, a small, white carving and kartoffel. all in order. the college had a drawn blackburger he had enjoyed. would come back.

Decor: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 This place is brilliant well worth a visit if you're in Traunstein. We also visited the Traunstein Hoffbrauhaus but compared to Schnizlbaumer it was utterly inferior. Regretted leaving will definitely come again if I'm in the area.

An old fashioned brewery with an excellent restaurant (and good beer) with genuine Bavarian specialties on the menu and at a very good price. The brewery is located in the center of the old town of Traunstein and has a large patio overlooking the surrounding...villages and parts of the older original housing. The inside still has the original copper tanks and a unique atmosphere. The beer is excellent as you would expect and the food good with very reasonable prices. This is a local favorite for special events such as weddings and anniversary parties but still caters to the locals who come in for their daily stammtisch as well as local families for their after church dinner for the family. A very pleasant experience for food and drink in a truly old German way!

A visit to the Schnitzlbaumer in Traunstein belonged to our fixed program when we made holidays in Chiemgau. From Ruhpolding it was possible to use the free rail connection (main part of the spa card), from Seebruck to the bus (which is overpriced with 5.30 euros per person for the easy journey). After the transition to the new owners we were not too much done, because the kitchen had been extremely neglected. This year, however, we still dared to come back and met with acquaintances who also made a holiday here. Since the weather played, we were able to use the very nice terrace overlooking the roofs of Traunstein. We had breadboard (9.50) with bacon, div. Cheese varieties, chimneys, O ́batzda with grape bread and butter as well as pork carving Viennese type with pommes (senior portion to 9.90). Both dishes looked appetizing (not everywhere so) and tasted excellent. Even the other foods brought to our neighboring tables would not have been despised. As we arrived by bus, we could still enjoy some of the excellent carving whites great white beer! Conclusion: In the Schnitzlbaumer you can go again price, performance and service vote. And the view from the magnificent terrace is not to be overlooked.

We had the whole restaurant for a company event. Great terass, great beer and food. And the service was excellent!
