We have had afternoon a lot over the years, different themse, countries and settings. Have to say this is the worst we have had for a few reasons. Really disappointing service and the food left a lot to be desired. Booked afternoon tea for the day before mothers day. Staff aware attending with an infant. Slightly uncomfortable when we arrived that no provision had been made for accommodating a pram highchair and after the awkwardness of staff moving a mum and daughter we felt so uncomfortable we offered to sit outside, next to the road with a 12 month old. If I 'm honest its quite awkward in general when you go out with a young child because you spend your time worrying that you 're affecting other peoples enjoyment of their meal coffee etc and that your pram etc is in the way so to be made to feel so awkward before even sitting down just didn 't feel great, particularly because it was booked in advance. We were asked what drinks we would like while we were waiting. Ordered an americano and an espresso. The americano was put on the tables inches from my daughters grasp, and the espresso nearly spilled on me and the server dropped the spoon on the floor. Afternoon tea when it arrived, while the cakes looked lovely, the sandwiches were dry and had minimal filling. One hand about 4x 1cm morcels of ham and barely anything else. The wraps were empty. Really disappointing. Scones dry too which was a shame. We waited for the tea element to arrive and it never did. We were told at the end that it was because we had replaced it with coffee.... which is entirely confusing because we were asked what we wanted ' while we were waiting '. Overall a really disappointing experience. We left hungry, it was a total anti climax and the service lacked attentiveness. The young female server didn 't say a single word to us and even struggled to respond when my husband asked where the bathrooms were. We were made to feel like a hassle. Since covid we have focused on trying to support smaller local businesses because they need it more than larger corporations but trying to balance that with enjoying your experience especially for once a year occasions its frustrating because we didn 't expect to compromise on quality value. Wont be going back and definitely wouldn 't recommend
Best coffee and pastel de nata (made fresh on-site by lovely Portuguese owners) in Altrincham. Cakes are also excellent.
This is my favourte cafe in Altrincam, we love going here because the food is excellent and its dog friendly!! The best Afternoon Tea we ever had!! Definitely cant wait to go back again.. We can tell that its all homemade and great coffee too.
This is my go-to spot for breakfast whenever I am in Altrincham, which is quite often. Coffi 22 never fails to impress with its homemade food of top-notch quality, on par with that of a 5-star restaurant. The service is always friendly and polite, and it is also dog-friendly! I highly recommend Coffi 22.
