Troutbeck is truly exceptional. A friend and I decided to indulge in a weekday getaway, and we had an amazing time. The grounds are beautiful and expansive, and the property’s design seamlessly combines the classic country house aesthetic with bright, modern touches, all while incorporating fascinating historical elements. We dined at both the main restaurant and the pool bar, and found both experiences to be outstanding. What impressed us the most was the level of service; the staff went above and beyond, showing that they take pride in the hotel and genuinely care about ensuring you have a wonderful stay.

Troutbeck is truly a magical place. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Above all, the staff is incredible. Everyone we met seemed genuinely happy to be there and passionate about providing the best experience for guests. It was an experience unlike anything else. Would highly recommend! I visited Troutbeck tonight for dinner with my wife and parents. While the grounds and atmosphere are stunning, the food did not meet expectations, especially given the high prices. My wife ordered pork that was bland, dry, and overcooked. The mushrooms accompanying it seemed sautéed without any seasoning, and some of the nectarines in her salad appeared to be rotten. I opted for the lobster, which was surprisingly lacking in flavor, although the corn on the side was enjoyable. My parents had the bass, which I didn't try, but they said it was good. Unfortunately, the service was slow and inattentive. We looked at the dessert menu, but nothing caught our interest—lava cake, cheesecake, and even tomato sorbet? After our meal, we stopped by Kelly's ice cream shop down the road (which is excellent) and ran into another couple who had dined at Troutbeck at the same time. They also expressed disappointment with their meal and had no desire for dessert. Given the upscale prices, the food should be exceptional, but sadly, it was not. If you visit, go for the beautiful grounds or a cocktail, but consider having dinner elsewhere.

I stayed here for a one night girls getaway. Troutbeck is truly a beautiful retreat! The grounds and buildings are beautiful. We had delicious room service and s’mores at the fire pit by the river.
