Truva Charcoal Grill - Towcester

I had previously requested a quote table and the lovely gentleman who greeted us and showed us to the table, apologised that the people on the table next to us we’re not so quite and offered another table if we wished. The service was excellent. The best sirloin I have had in a long while. Can not fault this restaurant at all!!

Truva in Towcester has only been open a couple of weeks and I had high expectations given the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. Sadly I came away feeling a bit disappointed. The staff were very friendly and attentive and could not fault them; also great is the courtyard location and ambience/decor in the restaurant. However the food was a let down. My wife and I shared hot mezze to start which was uninspiring and small serving for two people. To follow we both had kebabs which were very chewy and dry. Many British people travel to Turkey on holiday and will have experiences real Turkish food; at Truva it just is not very authentic. The same Turkish food at the Olive Garden just away is generally much better. I was genuinely disappointed as I really wanted this new restaurant to be good hopefully they can improve the food as everything else was very good.

I had made a reservation beforehand and was pleasantly greeted by the host who showed us to our table. Apologies were made for the noisy guests seated next to us, and we were offered a different table if we desired. The service was outstanding and the sirloin steak was the best I've had in a while. I have no complaints about this restaurant whatsoever!
