What can I say?! The food and service were amazing. The wings were fresh, crispy, and flavorful. If you are ever in the Jackson ever, I highly recommend that you visit The Village Kitchen.

Now I’m a big fan of the village kitchen taste wise, but the issue with their drive thru has occurred too many times to not say anything. The way that the drive thru is structured, you can be trapped in on all sides if people are parked there.. which always tends to be the case so changes need to be made. On Saturday, I got the notification that my order was ready around 10:21. Someone was at the window, whose order apparently wasn’t ready, and I didn’t receive my food until 10:50. And I believe the only reason that the workers started coming outside to hand out food was because they closed at 11. It’s not fair to have someone waiting and only getting a sense of urgency when it benefits you. So now I had literally ice cold food from doing the right thing by ordering ahead when the person at the window got their food hot and fresh. I guess the best way to get hot food is to wait until the last minute there. PLEASE do better because this has happened on so many occasions. I would like to enjoy my food hot
