The Cott Inn - Totnes

Must be unhappy! I booked a table for my friends birthday, was first great, but about 10 minutes or so, after we sit, we were told we had to move. that was annoying when we were about halfway through our drinks and enjoy our window view. After waiting for our food mine for a long time, but they had delivered the wrong order for my friend, so I ate through my tee before she got it. I also asked about a glass of water that was completely forgotten. probably a nice pub, but a very unhappy stay and ruined my friends birthday evening

Beautiful place, a bit of a miserable guy behind the bar.

Excellent fish and chips, although, I'd rather have a few more chips rather than have them served up in some fancy mini basket. It is doing things very well.. the numbers eating reflected that. Just not quite the quaint place I remember from a few years ago. Very business orientated.. just something that stops me giving 5 stars. 4.5 is my true reflection. Others will give 5 and I can see that.

Lovely place for an evening meal- staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, prices just ever so slightly on the higher end- £5 a pint is close to London prices, but really a minor down side if eating every day of the week!

Stayed for a couple of nights with my partner and also had dinner. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay or eat in the area. As you can see from the images the place is beautiful. Our room was really lovely with a super comfortable bed. Dinner was delicious and the staff are all really friendly and on the ball. Location is perfect for Dartington, Totnes and to explore a bit further into the South Hams.
