Thirema Coffee Shop And - Tortuguero

We had a great experience at this cozy spot in Tortuguero. The vegan pancakes and granola were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed them.

The staff at Thirema were always very friendly and helpful whenever I visited. They offer almond milk for coffee and while there are fewer vegan options now, they still have some great choices like pancakes, tortillas with various toppings, and granola with almond milk (honey optional). The restaurant is located across Main Street from Dorling Bakery in a blue building. You order at the counter by the coffee machine and can then sit in the neighboring building, which also has guest rooms. Despite some changes from previous years, the space is still comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend Thirema for vegans and everyone else in Tortuguero.

The service was very slow, the portion size is very small, and the flavor is clearly lacking.

Clearly labelled vegan options for breakfast, perfect to get out gallo pinto option. They were really slow so go with time and also it isn’t very cheap. Coffee or tea not even orange juice are included in the breakfast menu.

Lovely cafe in the city center, in front of a bakery. Very nice staff and lots of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Coffees can be ordered with almond milk their coffee machine seams to be a real Italian one and the coffee is superb!
