I went to the restaurant for a late lunch and ordered an oat milk cappuccino and a hummus sandwich. The coffee was great and the sandwich was delicious. They have two vegan sandwich options (avocado or hummus) and I chose the hummus sandwich. I wished it had more protein, but overall it was a decent meal. The menu also offers vegan-friendly salads, but they could be more visually appealing.
The vegan options at the cafes in Tórshavn are quite similar, but at this particular restaurant, the vegan hummus sandwich was not as good as others I have tried. My friend was also not impressed with her avocado sandwich and left half of it uneaten. On the positive side, the vegetarian options that could be made vegan were clearly labelled, and I remember seeing nachos on the menu. However, the overall menu selection is better at other cafes in the area. The service was slow, with five staff members present but not taking orders promptly. What was most surprising was that they charged for tap water, even though the Faroes are known for their high-quality tap water. The prices are high, but that's typical for the Faroes. What is not acceptable is the subpar service.
This restaurant is a wonderful spot! Although they only have one vegan sandwich option, it was tasty. Their freshly made juices are also very delicious.
I recently discovered another restaurant in the Faroe Islands that offers vegan options on their menu - Bravo! I was impressed during my second visit when I realized that I had mistakenly ordered a vegetarian dish the first time. Make sure to double check your order to ensure you receive the right dish. **Updated review as of March 15th, 2023**
