I've never been to a buffet where the staff took charge in plating your food. Maybe that's normal here, but maybe a sign that explains how it works would help. Yes, there are many different cuisines to choose from, but when all of them are cold (including the typical breakfast items like sausage and eggs), it is less than appetizing. Plus, I just don't feel like walking all over the place with someone else carrying my plate while I point at things I'd like to try.
The pros are the space is lovely and super clean, the staff that works this buffet are amazing, and the drinks overflow! In response to Covid, this buffet functions with the staff solely handling plates and the utensils to ladle food onto said plates. It appears to be the safest option to feed a resort full of people but rarely does the staff ever pick the piece of food I specifically want, nor do they ever give me the amount of serving I want. There was also a language barrier at times which I didn't encounter during non-Covid times at buffets. That said, the potatoes were never fully cooked to my satisfaction. The watermelon was never sweet and commonly mushy. Lines for foods cooked on the spot were more ridiculous than normal. There was just not enough food that was tasty to me, so I was always hungry. Eh.
This buffet opened in January 2020. The place has a fresh feel to it. Very nice and inviting design. I love that they made the environment cozy. There are several areas with larger tables allowing families and larger groups to enjoy conversation. There are several food stations with spaghetti, tacos, sushi, pizzas, seafood, meats, salads, hummus, desserts, ice cream station and fruits. You can also order a burger. Warning this takes time and may require a wait. I am a meat lover myself but really appreciate the veggie and salmon burger options. Unique and thoughtful.
