Chiringuito El Velero - Torremolinos

This place looks fantastic, but our experience was not, may be different on another day? The waiting staff were busy, but that is the nature of the job, very loud barking out orders to other staff and customers. My food, pork skewers were ok until I started eating the last chunk of meat, there was blood coming from it, now I like my steak cooked like this, but undercooked pork is dangerous. At this stage I started to doubt how well cooked the other chunks were. Needless to say I have been up all night with stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Would not recommend or visit here again.

Fabulous meal for great price. We both had the 1/2 roast chicken and it was amazing. Chicken was so moist but crispy. Would definitely recommend

Came to the restaurant, the girls made us aware that the kitchen was about to close but still open… waited 25 minutes with waiters walking around us totally ignored… when they finally had the decency to come to our table they told us the kitchen was closed…(hands clapping).

We visited several times, both for morning coffees (very good value) and evening meals which were hot and tasty. The establishment advertises its longevity so it must be getting things right.

We come to this little restaurant every time we’re here. The food is excellent, definitely traditional and the staff are very welcoming, attentive and helpful. The owner always gives us a wee drink on the house! What’s not to like about here lol!
