We wanted to go for breakfast this place seemed close by and never heard of it so we thought we would give it a try. Couldn 't figure it out at first but it 's the food portion of this brewery YORKSHIRE SQUARE the food was great I had the French Toast and it was delicious. Even though the place was a pub dark with a dart board loud music just not what I was expecting for breakfast. There was one guy at the bar and we were the only other people in there Great Food just not what I was expecting for a breakfast place maybe if I needed a hair if the dog The service was wonderful but we had to pay bar tab to bartender and food tab to waiter Not sure how long they have been open but they still have a few kinks to work out
My British wife I were excited to discover a British pub near us so we went yesterday and its not what we were expecting. They don't serve hot tea, my iced tea was so weak I could use it to water my tree outside my house and the chips looked like they went to McD's and brought them back and served them to me. These guys haven't a clue on what a British pub is all about. The waitress was pleasant and fast but the food was barely eatable. My wife ordered coffee and it was served in a to-go cup. REALLY?! That must be the unwelcome wagon! The fish plank was tasteless but the breading on it was good. Wife ordered a Full English and man did they cheapskate her. Two small strips of bacon and one sausage with just barely enough beans to be what it claimed to be. We asked to speak to the manager and he/she couldn't be troubled to come by.
I've driven by this place nearly every day for 3 years but didn't know it existed. This traditional English pub connected to a brewery was a wonderful stop on our way home from helping a friend move. I had the B.E.L.T.A sandwich and Tom had the Chicken and Waffle. Food was good for a pub substituted chips for hasbrowns and was not disappointed. For those of you who have never had the luxury of traveling abroad pour malt vinegar on everything potato and you won't be disappointed. Careful the XXX green hot sauce is HOT. They have TVs and are prepared for sports bar crowds.
Second time back--disappointing! Food quality has gone down. Fish and chips. Where do I start. The batter on the cod is not supposed to be dark or burned. It is supposed to be a light golden color. Never in the UK have I seen Fish look like this. The chips are merely Potato Wedges. Yorkshire Puddings were so burned they were inedible--again the goal is a light golden color. Bangers (sausages) tasted weird, definitely not like British. Sticky toffee is served cold, supposed to be warm. Ciders were just awful--really need to just get some good British Strongbow or Irish Magners from BevMo and call it a day. The food is very expensive and definitely not worth it. Last time I will come here unfortunately. Too good to be true and already on a downward spiral.
