Bistro on the Green Torquay

Great spot to stop and have luncg on the outdoor deck. Even just for a drink the view is worth the stop.

Duck spring roll? where was the duck? at $18 this was a let down. soft shell crab,how disappointing with dry reheated rice and over powering fish sauce with old corn salsa. $33 for re heated pork belly,no crackle but the same overpowering sauce used for the crab. overall with the crumbs of food left on the table, obviously from the day before or maybe longer. the food was ****. the service was like she did not want to be there. what a let down.

I love to see bowling clubs take on new life, and this one is making good use of its amazing beach front view and serving up delicious food at the same time. Didn't get to sit out on the big deck as it's winter, but the food was worth bracing the night time cold for. While they stick to the clubhouse tradition of order at the counter, drinks from the bar, the food is way above typical counter food. Asian influenced, large portions at dinner time and friendly staff. Gluten free and vegetarian marked on the menu. Would go again!

Just had a delicious dinner here. Garlic bread was Great, sliced whole grain bread with butter and finely chopped garlic. We ate the grilled salmon (absolutely cooked to perfection as were the vegies - the white wine sauce was delicious but I should have had it on the side to keep the calories down and have more sparingly). Husband had the fish curry which he enjoyed. Oldest teenager had the calamari and the ypunger 2 had the wedges with a curly salad. Everyone loved it. Good value feeding us with a drink each for $130.Service was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Easy going family business shows in the love of the food . Generous serves of interesting tasty meals. Relaxed casual atmosphere kids are welcome.
