Tomyum Restaurant And Wine Bar

I absolutely love that this restaurant is open 24 hours a day! The prices are good and the food is delicious. It was my first time dining here and I was surprised to see how busy it was on a Thursday morning.

The menu offers a wide range of breakfast options, with some available all day. I decided to go with the classic pancakes and a side of bacon. It was like a comforting home-cooked meal! Everything was delicious – the pancakes were fluffy and not too heavy, while the bacon was perfectly crispy, just how I like it. This is a fantastic spot to grab a quick meal in the heart of the city. I highly recommend it!

I would never return to this restaurant even if I was paid to do so. First and foremost, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and very friendly. However, when I added sugar to my coffee, I discovered a piece of chewed gum on the sugar packets that I had just poured into my drink. I requested new sugar and coffee, feeling disgusted by the experience. The bathrooms downstairs were extremely dirty with almost no soap to wash my hands. The handle felt grimy and had clearly not been cleaned in a while. When our eggs arrived, they were cold as if they had been sitting in the fridge for too long. The syrup bottle was sticky and clearly had not been wiped down. Overall, the restaurant was dirty, the food was not good, and finding chewed gum in my coffee was the final straw. I would not recommend dining at Frans diner. They need to improve their cleanliness and food quality. (*Reported to the health department*)

Fantastic diner in core Toronto. Extremely popular spot as well, serving all the classic diner fare. I loved the classic look they 've managed to retain, a breath of fresh air from all the 'modern ' looking places which all look the same. Service was prompt and friendly. My only complaint (if any) was that the food is too pricy for the fare and portions.

I had the Montreal corned beef hash. The home fries were great, crispy while fluffy and seasoned well. The corned beef was sliced and not exactly integrated into the onions and potatoes like I'd expect from a hash, still tasted good though (maybe a bit salty). The onions in the hash are cool but the mini potatoes in the hash part I think are pointless and don't need to be there when you have home fries on the side. The toast is toast. Service was a bit ight but we were a group of 16 so I can't blame the dude. Food's prob a 3 but the prices and portions are good for Toronto, and I think it's just fun to eat breakfast for dinner sometimes.
