The Rushton - Toronto

The rushton is a neighborhood stop I often visit and I can't think of a time I've left off. calamari was delicious, lobster ravioli was dying, and all our drinks were also a hit. loves the huge bowls for our afternoon joy.

The service is terrible in this restaurant and this comes from someone who does not really care about the service in a restaurant. we sat at the table outside the fenced in courtyard, next to the table the hostess and we were completely forgotten. I understand that it is a busy night, or maybe the server were confused who should serve us, but why do they put us there when nobody knows how to use this table and if nobody knows who to serve us, I am pretty sure that they can find it in <30 minutes. Why put a table in the first place? we sat with the menus and the water for 30 minutes before the host came back to fill our waters again. at this point were served tables that came to us. when the host came to our table, we told the hostess that we were going. the hostess didn't seem to care. everything she said was good. I can grab someone for you there was no dringiness or carefree in her ton.

In the restaurant was packed! we decided to sit on the terrace instead of breathing someone on our eating. He didn't work. my steak came cold.2 server for the whole place. it took 45 minutes to get our food. no water not seasoned (basic salt and pepper.) I wanted to see the manager. What do you want? we have gone to tell everyone what we know about our terrible experience. Too bad. the server were nice polite children who make an impossible job! we've been there many times before. never again!

We do not have a reservation there on Friday evening. we knew it was a good sign. we ordered special lambshaft in gorgeous sauce and small rare steak (not deceived, the part is huge.) everything was so good. fresh, amazing ingredients, the service, I felt as if I visited old friends who know how to cook and have delicious wein ready for me;)I highly recommend the vibe and eat is just ah-mazing!

Loved the seafood platter. The calamari was crispy and everything was perfectly cooked without being overcooked. The one for one person is plenty for two.
