The Bread Essentials - Toronto

My partner and I stumbled into into this place for a snack after an appointment and left with 3 bags of food. I missed their names but the 3 amazing women helping us (who were simultaneously baking up a storm) were beyond hospitable, helpful and genuinely friendly. On top of the service the bread, cinnamon rolls, croissants and even specialized products like homemade pickles were absolutely amazing. Best croissant I've ever had in my life. The chef also threw in a complimentary loaf which was just the cherry on top of an amazing first experience. Will be back and we recommend you try it out too!

Love the selection lots of things that aren’t too easy to find! Trying creton for the first time. I was a bit skeptical since I’ve had lots of pate and was never a fan, but I like this! I also really like the little croissants perfect size for a little treat. I’ll be back......

Went here on Saturday after hearing many good things about the gluten-free baked goods. I wasn't disappointed! Today I had one of their chicken pot pies and it was delicious! The owner is lovely and took the time to show me all of her products. Will definitely go back for more!

This bakery recently opened a block from my house. Everything I've had is outstanding. The croissant are perhaps the best I've had in Toronto, definitely the best in the West end. I can't recommend it highly enough for those living on the West side of the city.
