Tenon Vegan Sushi - Toronto

We decided to try the sushi pizza (deep-fried rice with a creamy salad on top) and the golden roll with soy crabmeat and mango. The food was good, but it didn't quite meet the high expectations set by other reviewers. The variety of special rolls on the menu seemed a bit repetitive, with many featuring tempura soy crab or prawn and topped with BBQ sauce. Some rolls had soy chicken or beef, but they were priced close to $20 for 8 pieces. The crab lacked flavor and had a spongy texture. The restaurant had a strong smell of fried oil. While the sushi was decent, it wasn't the best I've ever had. The menu also offers Thai and Chinese dishes for those looking for something different. The service was excellent.

I've been vegan for 4 years and sushi is one of the only things I miss from my omnivore days. I'm from Massachusetts and there's no vegan sushi spots like this around, so coming here was such a treat! Everything we tried was delicious 10/10 would recommend.
