Szechuan Express - Toronto

Had a craving for Chinese food. I Ordered steam rice with Lemon Chicken, broccoli and beef with pepper. What can I say .... It hit the spot. Prices are reasonable.

I ate at the Szechuan Express at the eaton centre one late afternoon, and opted for noodles and two veggie dishes. It came to just over ten dollars for a very large portion. I was absolutely famished after walking for hours sightseeing, and although I did enjoy my meal it was just very average in taste. Not bad by any means, but also nothing to shout from the rooftops about. There appeared to be lots of food choice on offer here, with dim sum, soup and an a la carte menu, and as I only ate here once I can only comment on my limited experience. What I would say is that, having eaten at other places within the eaton centre, the Szechuan Express would not be my first choice.

I came to Szechuan Express at 10:30AM to buy a (very early) lunch, and honestly this is the best time to go because everything is fresh.I got the combo which is a base (rice or noodles) plus 2 items. I got the noodles with chili fish and chili chicken.Chili fish is one of my favourite chinese fishes to order and it was done quite well at this place. The noodles were also good, however I was disappointed with the chili chicken and didn't finish it. If I ever have to buy a lunch again and am craving Chinese, I might consider coming back!

The food was fresh cooked and really really good! you wont be disappointed. The service was fast and you really just wanted to linger over your food.

I had a Two Item Combo and it cost $8.99, plus tax. It was not very hot and not very tasty. In other words, if you want some good Chinese food leave the Eaton Centre and go to any of the Asian restaurants just around the corner on Dundas St.
