I ordered the prime rib which was fantastic, my husband loved his striploin and my son indulged and had the 20oz steak cooked to perfection.Thank you for a very memorable evening
I have eaten at Keg restaurants before, but this was the first time at this location.Beautiful décor. Very warm and inviting in the bar area. There is an elevator to the washrooms!Had the mushrooms stuffed with crab, delicious. Ordered the filet mignon, stuffed potato and Caesar salad. Shared with a friend. Very good and very filling. It was the people we met that evening that made it interesting. It was not an evening to be outside, but we were told to come back when it is nice to sit outside on the patio!A fun night.Service was great!
I don't get why the Keg is popular. It's okay but nothing great. I find the steaks we get at Costco and throw on the BBQ are better, at a fraction of the cost. Had the caesar salad and it was drowning in dressing. The mashed potatoes were luke warm at best. The Brussel sprout side dish was overpowered by garlic and a very small portion. Can't beat the KEg's customer service though. Wait staff is good and they are always eager to please if you have a complaint. But there should be no reason to complain if they were served better food. Wish they had better sides for their prime rib like Yorkshire pudding.
Not a place to go if you want to have a conversation. Music from the bar is both inappropriate for a steakhouse dining room and way too loud.More seriously, I have a significant but not life-threatening allergy to mushrooms which were in a side dish (asiago rice) but not listed as an ingredient on the menu. When I received my filet and sides, I made it as easy as possible for them to switch out the offending side dish and keep the steak by cutting off the part that touched the rice. They took my filet mignon away for re-plating with a different side, but it came back seriously reduced in size since someone in the kitchen further cut a big chunk off of it. I could tell they didn't believe me (don't know what they think I was aiming for as I kept the steak) and kept saying I should have asked if there were mushrooms in the rice. WTF? Mushrooms were mentioned all over the menu in other dishes but not this one and so I'm supposed to ask? That was confirmed when nothing came off the bill (say, charging me for the smaller-size steak instead of the one I ordered and didn't end up getting). Not only did I not receive the full amount of the filet I paid for, I was eating out of sync with my dinner companions by the time my plate came back. We had wine, appetizers, and dessert as well as expensive mains. No reason for management to be so ungracious (blaming me) and cheap, considering it was their error in not indicating mushrooms were in a side dish.Except for telling me I should have asked, the waiter, Jeremy, was excellent. But have to give low rating for service because of how allergy issue was handled.
This new Keg location at Sherway Gardens has an awesome patio! The staff is fun, friendly and efficient. Try the Moscow Mule and the pecan crusted Salmon! And of course the billy miner pie for dessert.
