Since changing that a few years back, and offering a thicker noodle, I can say that they've cemented their place as the best ramen joint in town. Not only do they have the best Tonkatsu broth (deliciously rich but not overly salty, unlike Santouka), they also have an amazing tomato ramen with scallop. As a lover of anything tomato, that is now my go to (though I'll always steal a sip of any friend who ordered their Tonkatsu).Having been to Tokyo, I'll say that ramen is the one area where Toronto is actually close, whereas anything else (sushi or tempura), we're leagues away. Be happy that the ramen craze has hit Toronto!
It was delicious! Definitely one of the bests ramen I ever tried! It is a busy place, we have to wait outside for 10-15 min but totally worth it!!
It is a good place to eat ramen, all the delicious ven dishes but the place is very small and you have to wait for people to eat, it takes you to receive about 10 minutes I totally recommend it
Ordered the tonkotsu black ramen with garlic oil. Very tasty! Fast friendly service, good prices. Great for lunch.
Delicious food with fresh ingredients. Limited menu, but still some variety. One beer on menu. Tight space, might be sharing a table. Quick service and table turnover, so even if you're waiting outside in line (you can't wait inside; no room) the line moves quickly. Not necessarily a destination, but well worth it if you're in the neighborhood and the wait isn't too long.
