Portions can appear small, but are actually quite full!
So glad we try this place! genuine and authentic Japanese food. I loved her crab Udon, tempuras, oldashi tofu and icy green tee! the only thing that was challenging was not A/C; but we sat on the back through the kitchen where there was a big fan.
My first visit to this restaurant post-pandemic and the udon is still consistently excellent! Even though we were informed that only thin noodles were available that day, it was still delicious. I decided to try the kaki this time, and it arrived hot with juicy oysters. However, the highlight was definitely the broth, which was intensely flavored by the oysters, giving it a refreshing and slightly sweet taste. My friend's Sansai-Udon was also delicious, paired with crispy herbal tempura. The service was friendly but a bit slow; it took a few tries to get water, but overall, the experience was smooth. I recommend arriving early (we went right when they opened at 12) as it gets busy quickly! The line didn't dissipate even after they opened a second one because the food is just that good.
The restaurant is gorgeous, but it was a bit warm inside. I wonder if their AC was not working that day? The udon was tasty, but the portions were a bit small. Don't count on a bowl to fully satisfy you, you may need to order something extra to feel full. However, the prices for the udon ranged from $13-17. The service was excellent and our server was very attentive. I would definitely return if I was in the area.
This place only specialize in udon. They imported their udon from Japan. Very special and tastes great! The wait is a bit long for the weekend. Just get there ahead of time to be on the wait list.
