Quarry Cafe - Toronto

Watch out for the $5 Split Charge at this restaurant. It is an extra fee if someone in your group does not order food. The lowest priced item on the menu is a $6 fruit cup that we had to buy to avoid the charge. We probably won't be returning here as frequently. It's a pity because the food and service are decent, and it's a nice spot in the neighborhood. It might be better to just establish a minimum charge of $10 per person instead. We would have preferred to order more drinks instead. With three adults and a child, our bill was close to $60 before adding the fruit cup.

I recently enjoyed the amazing brunch at this restaurant! The eggs Benedict, especially the salmon and Halloumi variations, were delicious. I even visited two weekends in a row just for them. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, but the service can be a bit slow due to the busy crowd. The servers could improve by being more attentive to the tables to minimize wait times for ordering and paying.

I went to this restaurant for the first time and the waiter was efficient and friendly. The food portions were generous and delicious. The prices were reasonable and fair. The patio was spacious and inviting. There is plenty of parking available and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with doors wide enough for a wheelchair on the first floor.

We went into the restaurant at 7:25 pm and the web noted closing at 8 pm. The first waitress pleasant gave menus for us to order, very polite, we knew had to order promptly since kitchen closing. Then waitress with glasses came over told us closed as we were to order closed . Then I said the web says 8, she double talked, first said fine but need to finish by 7:40 pm, and then changed to 8 pm, two stories matter of 5 minutes which upset me, now irritated. We are regular customer and tip 20% or more. I am not going to spend $50plus to eat to eat in 15 minutes, and tip somebody 20% to push me out the door. Very rude! We could have ordered and been out by 8 pm but by her tone start to finish, we just said we would go someplace else. I have two occasions where I am taking out folks in next few days and we will be eating out, although a regular I don 't need rude and I am reconsidering where to go. This would not have happened if the owner was there. Sad they feel the liberty to treat folks like this. Disappointing. Not happy!

Very nice place. Good food, good service, clean stablishment. We had an excellent time Turing breakfast with our 2yo toddler.
