Pho Vietnamese Delight - Toronto

I know there have been bad reviews but I thought I'd mention that I just visited. Service was prompt, the place was clean, and I had the best pad thai I've had in a long time (Finch location).

So we go to this restaurant the first time, and at the server's recommendation get a large soup to share and a chicken fried rice. the soup that we receive is in a big bowl and we are given 2 miniscule plates.one that you'd put a salad dressing in maybe.I look at the other table that was there and saw they had normal sized bowls so i waited for them. When nothing arrived i asked the server for our bowls and she pointed at the the miniscule ones we got. When i looked over at the toehr table she said sorry, i am sorry these are finished. I said ok and then looked for a ladle When i didn't see one i again asked the waitress and she apologised and went to get one. She was back in no time saying that has also finished and left. With no other option i ended up using one of the small spoons to spoon out the soup. a few minutes into the meal the server came back to our table and while holding on to the fried rice she asked if we are finished with it and was about to take it away. At that time i hardly touched the rice yet. I asked her to leave it for now and at first she didn't understand and started walking away! I did explain and she brought it back. Needless to say the experience was not a good one, the only saving point was i had my son with me who has a great sense of humor and turned this experience into an adventure. We couldn't stop laughing during the meal or after it. I gave the place a 3 star cause to be honest the food tasted great and the price was more then reasonable.

Restaurant in the Yonge/Finch area. Had their noodles with spring roll, chicken on a skewer and peanut sauce. Not bad, the noodles were a bit over cooked, place was clean, service friendly. Inn a pinch, not a bad place.

My wife and I used several times this restaurant. We notice that the food is getting worst for the last few weeks. Today we had a really bad experience.Food:1. One of the clients from the next table returned the soup because it had a hair in it.2. The soup we ordered came with some rotten lemon slices.3. The ‘lemon grass pork chop’ has nothing to do with “lemon grass”, comes only with some green onion. The souse was some kind of soup not the usual souse with rice vinegar. Just disgusting.4. The hot Vietnamese café was done with very burned and dark beans.Service: Poor service. We received napkins only for one person. The waiters speak very limited English, and are inexperienced.This restaurant is run down, and we will not visit it again. There are better restaurants in the area.

It is a plain storefront restaurant. I ordered the pho lunch special and it was OK but without a good solid beef flavoured broth. It tasted thin. If a restaurant has pho in their name I expect the pho to be very good. This was not. A spring roll came with the pho and it was good. The special included soy milk and they threw in lemon tea as well. The service was spotty. I had two servers, one excellent the other poor. The poor server seemed confused with several orders and brought the wrong food to at least two tables. A mediocre lunch for the price and confusing service so I probably will not return.
