Perla - Toronto

I had a fantastic meal with great service at this restaurant. I was tempted to try almost everything on the menu. If you're looking for a hearty, home-cooked meal, this place is a must-visit. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the drinks. I will definitely be coming back.

The food was incredible. I would definitely return in a heartbeat.

My wife and I recently ducked into this restaurant to avoid the rain after seeing some of the dishes that people were eating on the covered terrace. It was a very good find. Neither my wife or I had ever had Portuguese food but we both love seafood so we had no trepidation. We were surrounded by Spanish speaking gents so it seemed to at least offer authenticity! The staff was very friendly and I quickly had a cold Stella and bread while making my choice of entree. I chose the seafood spaghetti and my wife chose a deep fried bass. Both were excellent. There was no shortage of seafood in my dish. I ate every last bit and was stuffed when we left. We will definitely visit again on future trips to Toronto.

My mother wanted to eat Portuguese food, after walking through the little portugal and finding nothing, we got the perla. Simple lounge, Portuguese service, only one attendant for all tables. Bready with great incoming wine! I ordered a steak with rice and eggs.. it was good but I've eaten a lot better in boston. My mother ate a cod, which did not come swimming in the olive oil and had more thorn than I do not know what! reasonable food, good price.

We were walking in toronto in search of an Italian restaurant for lunch, until we entered the la perla that seemed suitable. Inside, we realized it was a Portuguese restaurant! the owner sylvia, when he realized that we were Brazilian, became all kind, speaking Portuguese and explaining his menu that also has international dishes. She's been in town for over 20 years and always in the restaurant business. with his mother, he has played the establishment since the beginning. He also gave us indications about the sights of the city and left us at ease. The menu is large and the dishes served were, for sure, very good, because we chose cod, a Portuguese specialty. The prices were suitable for the meal, which put us to indicate the la perla for a good option for lunch u dinner.
