Once seated our app came out in decent time, but...dinner took a full hour and 20 minutes to be served after we ordered...both dinners were overcooked (steak and fish)...this place has decent live jazz music after 7pm, but will pass on dinner next time!
This was a great venue with good food and great music. Relaxed but lovely atmosphere with good service. The deduction was due to advertised dishes not being available - we ordered two dishes only to be told they were unavailable this is something the waiting staff should be aware of - one of the dishes had sold out the previous night. The pasta choices were delicious as were the coconut and Cajun shrimp appetisers
The music at N'awlins was pretty good, and the atmosphere was nice, too! However, we were shocked after we ordered martinis to find that they were upwards of $13 a pop - they weren't good enough to be that price and I wouldn't recommend getting a martini there. We also found that the service was slow, even though there weren't many people in the restaurant.
This is such an amazing hole in the wall type place right by John & King. The ambience and the walls with the amazing photos and art - I mean it really sets a wonderful mood. Their servers are fantastic, right from getting you to your table through all of the courses. Our server Ashley was fantastic - prompt, efficient and very personable. And the band, bass guitar, lead guitar, drums and a vocalist. We had a blast the entire night. The lead guitarist is especially phenomenal - soul stirring. The food is excellent - decent value for money as well. Mostly Cajun menu - I really loved the grilled calamari and lamb chops. Wines were great - had a glass each of the Pinot Grigio as well as the Merlot and they were both quite good. I really can't think of a single con. Dare I say that this was a perfect night and an excellent way to celebrate my wife's birthday.
Celebrated our 30th Anniversary with friends here. Food phenomenal. Never ever had such delicious coconut shrimp. Service was impecable. My lamb was delicious, but a little overcooked for my liking...but nonetheless deicious. One of friends ordered the Veal Chop...it was like a brontesaurus leg and was AMAZING he said. Jambalaya and Cajun cat fish were really tasty as well. This restaurant is very close quarters so just know that going in and you will be fine. Does have a patio, and also the piece de resistance...live jazz music in the evenings. Celebrated a great evening with fantastic friends and awesome restaurant!!!
