They gave us a rose in a vase that was the best part of the whole evening meal. it cost us $250 and we were not full or satisfied. only give 3 stars for the personal!
A delicious dinner here in the nami japanese restaurant. we were completely blown away from any dish we ordered: aburi shirako ponzu, fresh oysters, blue fin tuna sushi, wagyu striploin and tartare, agadashi, chicken karaage. wow. service was impeccable, drinks were fantastic, eating was from this world. coming back!
We came here because the fish looked fresh and we wanted to see. we were told only 20 minutes after the order that they had none. everything was well presented and delicious, but the service was terrible. the dishes took half an hour to get what was really slow for the amount of food we ordered. the restaurant was not busy either. server was not enthusiastic and attentive. it took about 20 minutes to get their attention so we could pay.
I read all the negative reviews before I get in. but her sukiyaki is really good! the dashi of sukiyaki is probably the best in toronto, not too sweet or too salty. it remains its taste after adding hot water. the Wagyu cow is great, a little overpriced. the rice is super, very chewing (on good wise). the sushi is...I. hotate sushi is beautiful, but the others are somewhat disappointing compared to other sushi sites I had.
Great food, fresh ingredients, creative flavours, great service, but quite overpriced. They had halal chicken and beef, which was nice. Staff were wearing traditional japanese kimonos, which was a nice touch but the shoes didn’t look comfortable, especially for waitresses who are on their feet all day.
