I read reviews, but I'm looking back I think she was for the old restaurant that was there before. In fact, the credit card payment was listed in the old restaurant name. For the good. Our waiter, although the service was very slow (and for 2 hours we were the only people in the square) and he was a little forgotten, was extremely human. Upbeat, friendly and fun to chat with. Maybe he would be a big advantage in another restaurant. Thanks for a fun night chatting with you. But that was the point. As someone else mentioned, the menu is hard on bread and little protein. It took forever to get a basket of simple Focaccia, said it took a while to make sure it was hot? Although it was Saturday night and again we were there at 5:30 a.m. and the only diners were already sold out. Half of the pastas was delicious, the Cacio e Pepe was not one of them, but the Ravioli was delicious, like the Ragu Pasta. We ordered dessert, waited for half an hour and never came. Finally decided with omitted said Dessert after a dinner that lasted 3 hours (for a basket of bread, an appetizer order and our net). Again I wanted to love this place, but it simply did not add to the reviews I saw and appeared in Trip Advisor for the previous restaurant in this location.
What amazing time my family and I (party of 7) had al Mulino am a foodie who has dined at excellent restaurants and I think that this is a hidden gem in Toronto wine list is great, our pasta plates were outstanding! And we closed with limoncello and grappa felt like I was in Italy without having to leave Toronto Lastly, I would like to recognize how great the service was by Laura (the restaurant manager) I promised her I will come back and certainly I will
Kitchen was unable to make order. We waited 1h10 min for 2 charcuterie boards (zero cooking required, only one other table in the restaurant so not busy at all). Those were for 2 of our attendees, the rest was not delivered as they started cooking the rest of the meals after that wait. We thus cancelled everything and left. The 2 boards were offered free of charge which was a nice gesture and our waiter was doing his best and being very nice but unfortunately this restaurant is not ready to cater to people looks like the chef was absent or other major issues are happening…
Brunch menu is amazing and very delicious. Atmosphere and service are great too. I’ve been there twice last week as I feel in love with food and service at this restaurant.
Everything was delicious but my favourites were the chicken cacciatore pizzetino, polenta fries, and tiramisu. And make sure you top it all off with a delicious bottle of lambrusco
